Fab Frocks Flies The Flag For UK Designer
Bournemouth boutique Fab Frocks of Westbourne is the first shop in the country to stock a new British label, made by a Poole-based designer.
Veronica Morgan is a range of smart day dresses in limited edition prints from Paris with as few as 20 dresses being made from a fabric design. The dresses are designed and made by former model and beauty queen Roni Morgan, who lives in Poole. Roni Morgan says: “I think the success of the dresses is their simplicity. So far, I have about 18 variations on a theme. They are all made of stretch, flattering fabric which doesn’t crease easily. Many have sleeves as I know many women like to cover their arms and they’re also on the knee or below the knee in length.”
Tracie Beardsley, director of Fab Frocks says: “We believe in supporting home-grown talent. I love the fact that Veronica Morgan is a local label for real women. Roni has clearly listened to what women want. Her dresses are appealing to all ages and being snapped up by women in their mid twenties wanting something for the races to ladies in their seventies wanting a dress they can take on a cruise. They’re so easy to dress up or wear casually.”
