Harvard University Launches Clothing Line

It’s not often that we make the foray into men’s fashion, but we couldn’t help ourselves when we saw this new label coming straight out of … Harvard University.

Forget what you’d expect from a University fashion line – there’s not a crimson crested sweatshirt in sight here. Instead, the result of Harvard’s 10 year licensing deal with clothing manufacturer Wearwolf Group is a line of preppy-inspired contemporary menswear with subtle references to Harvard in the signature crimson on buttonholes, zips and other trimmings.

Harvard Yard's first collection is inspired by photos of students lounging around in Harvard Yard in the sixties. All questions of 'why would Harvard do this?' aside, the line's not bad, and I can definitely see it having export appeal. What do you think?
