A little break in the style reflections to mention Race for Life, the women-only 5k sponsored walk/run to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.
It's sad to say that we all probably know at least one person who has been affected by Cancer. The 5k sees women of all ages donning their finest feathers and tutus (optional!) and coming together in a huge pink burst of positive energy to raise money and to remember those who are battling cancer or have sadly lost the fight.
Having run (just about!) last year with friends, I can safely say that it's a very unique experience with tons of goodwill, laughter and positivity. Go on, give it a go!
