NY Fashion Week: Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham launched her 3rd collection with an informal runway show at New York Fashion Week, which she narrated herself, look by look.

This collection saw Victoria introduce mini dresses, use a wider variety of silhouettes, make greater use of colour and experiment with panelling – all a step forward for the designer whose label has quickly become a celebrity favourite (I would never have expected to see Mary J Blige wearing a figure hugging VB Fall 09 peplum midi dress – but she looked great in it at the Toronto Film Festival!)

NY Fashion Week: Ports 1961

Tia Cibani’s latest collection for Ports 1961 features ethereal pieces inspired by nature, to which she has added a certain element of Japonisme in the liberal dosings of obis and cloud coats.

Cibani intended for her Spring collection, titled Fluere, to be pared down and discreet and in this, she has succeeded admirably, focusing on colour, cut and fabric to give us a stunning Spring wardrobe.
